People are amazing!

This past week I have been so grateful for warm friendly people that you can find all over the world. Just in the past 7 days, I have spoken with someone from France, England, America, Australia, Brazil, and Israel. It is one of my favorite parts of missionary work to speak to people of different backgrounds and knowing that the gospel can help every single one of them! Also, Norwegians are so nice! AFTER, that is, they warm up to you. They are always so confused why two strangers are banking on their door or stopping them on the street. They just aren't as open as Americans. Regardless, the people that are prepared of the Lord are willing to talk and meet with us. We started meeting with someone new this past week. His name is Aksel. He believes in Jesus Christ and he says that he has felt the Holy Ghost before. When we taught him the first lesson, the spirit was so strong and he said that he would start reading the Book of Mormon and pray to God to know that it is true. He is very prepared for the gospel, and I am excited to see what will happen in the future!

This Week's Highlights:
- This old lady swung her umbrella at me when I tried to kontakt her on the street! After the initial shock, I couldn't stop laughing! It was so hilarious!

- A Jehova's Witness family let us in while we were Banking and they fed us cookies and chocolate. they also told us that our church was false, but it's okay! They were very nice!

- We met an American named Joe on the street. He was very loud and very un-Norsk. We asked him where he was from and then it all made sense. He is a very interesting guy that seems to know a lot and has traveled all around the world. He is also VERY atheist. He told us straight up that we were being brainwashed by the church and he told us to look up Anti-mormon material at the library so we couldn't be traced. Also, he invited us to dinner with his family so he could de-program us. He might be a little crazy...

That is all I have time for this week! I love you all very much! I want you to know that despite all of these people telling me that what I believe is wrong, I have recieved witness after witness from God that this is the true church on the earth today. My testimony continues to grow. I hope that you know that it is okay to ask Heavenly Father for anything, including continuing confirmations that the church is true and that he exists. I hope you all have a great week!

Love, Søster Starkie
