The week of Chimichangas
Things are going pretty great here in Ålesund! We got a new investigator this week! His name is Aurimas and he is Lithuanian. There is quite a language barrier because he doesn't speak Norwegian, and his English is pretty limited. He was taught by Mormon missionaries years before in Lithuania and I think that is why he was so open to meeting with us when we met him on the street. I am so thankful that we have the opportunity to teach him and give him hope and direction in his life. He wants to believe in something and I am grateful that I can be one of the people that helps him along his journey to find Christ.
Hva Skjedde Den Uken:
-This week, as you could probably guess, we ate a lot of Chimichangas. I made them for dinner one night and they were a little too spicy for Søster Belus and almost killed her. Haha, that would have been an interesting call to President. We had leftovers for lunch the next day, and then chimichangas again at a members house. I am pretty sure that I am 90% Chimichanga now.
- I taught people how to make friendship bracelets for our Relief Society this past week. Who knew that those girls camp crafting skills would come in handy?
- I gave out an English BOM to an british man that we met on the street yesterday! Earlier in the day, I had the impression to put an English Book of Mormon from our apartment in my backpack. It is amazing seeing how the Holy Ghost works and the miracles that come from following his promptings!
That is about it for this week! It is getting warmer here and it rained all day yesterday. Missionary work is the best and Norway is amazing!
