Fra Ålesund til Asker!
Hei Hei alle sammen! This week with moves has been so crazy and so much fun! I am now here in Asker and I already love the people here so much! They have an amazing ward here that is so strong and very excited about missionary work. They are so supportive and loving! In fact, they have a Calendar posted in the church where families sign up for days that they will have the missionaries over for dinner! I feel so spoiled! As much as I already love it here, I really miss the people in Ålesund. I can point out how each one of our investigators and the members have made a difference in my life and I can only hope that I made somewhat of a positive impact in theirs. It was so hard saying goodbye to everyone after getting to know them so well.
Here is my attempted summary of everything that happened this past week:
Wednesday: I got everything unpacked and we got to work. We did about 6 and a half hours of proselyting and met this amazing lady when we offered to help her weed her garden.
Thursday: We had distrikt meeting and I met my new distrikt! Then we did some bus contacting and visited with a less aktive family.
The rest of the week is kind of all mashed together and I can't remember on which days things happened, but I had a really cool experience where I accidentally left my wallet on the bus and the bus driver found it and we were able to pick it up from his house. I am so thankful that Norwegians are so honest and good hearted. But that is not the entire story. Because I lost my wallet, we weren't able to take the buss to where we had planned to go Banking earlier that day. We instead chose to go to a place that was within walking distance and we found a family there that we are going to begin teaching. I am so glad that Heavenly Father has a plan for me and that everything happens for a reason. Even something so random as losing a wallet he uses to his benefit and uses to further his work. I also got to skype my family yesterday and see their beautiful faces! Being on a mission has made me appreciate how much I love them and how thankful I am that we have such strong relationships with them.
I love you all so much and I hope that you have a great week! Tell your moms how much you love them!
