Missionaries in Leather

Another week has gone by and again I am looking through my planner astonished about everything that we have done and experienced in such a short time. It is impossible to try and fit it into one email and the Elders are getting antsy waiting for us and have resorted to making up their own songs in the gym so I will try to be as concise as possible. :)

This week we were able to meet with Ken before he left to Indonesia. He has been reading more and more of the Book of Mormon every day and knew who captain Moroni was when the member we had on the teach mentioned him. He continues to amaze me with how open he is and how willing he is to learn more. He is very impressed with Russel M. Nelson's witness of Christ on lds.org and has been learning more about our living prophet. Sadly he will be gone for about two months, but he took his book of mormon with him to read while he is away. I know that his testimony of the restored gospel will continue to grow as he continues his prayerful search through the book of mormon.
Another man that we met with this week is Gunnar. We gave him a mormons bok on the street and were able to meet with him. We shared with him the message of the restoration and he said that he was able to feel the spirit very strongly.

We were able to do a lot of kontakting as well this week and met a lot of really cool people! Among them was a man who didn't have a lot time but asked for a book of mormon and asked us if we could meet again. It was the fastest sucessfull kontakt I have ever had!

Also, when we were kontakting we walked past a Norwegian biker gang and one of them stopped me and grabbed my elbow. He told me in Swedish that Jesus Christ loves me and we were able to talk to them about our church and share a pass a long card. It is so amazing to see how Jesus Christ can influence everyone. It doesn't matter if they are a Norwegian Biker covered from head to toe in leather. I am so grateful that they stand for what they believe in and that they are also bringing people to christ.
One fun thing that we did this week, was that we were able to be a part of a ward activity. They all hiked up the day before and we competed in "Highland Games". A scottish competition that consisted of dancing, hammer throwing, riddle solving, and sheep petting. The members here are so much fun and I am grateful that they find little ways to include the missionaries.
I have to go, but I love my mission and I am grateful that I can grow closer to my Savior and God every single day through the experiences I have and the people that I meet! Love you all!
