Northbound:)
Sorry in advance, but this email is not going to be very long either. I found out yesterday that I am moving to Tromsø and I still need to finish packing and saying goodbye to members! Since I don't have a whole lot of time to explain, I would recommend googling tromsø and reading about it on wiki. All I know is that it is cold, beautiful, and the skies are filled with the northern lights!
This past week my favorite experience was us missionaries in Drammen got to be part of a missionary youth weekend for the Stake. Some returned missionaries were also there and we had a panel, breakout session where they learned missionary teaching skills, and a missionary relay race type thing. I felt so strongly how much a mission has blessed my life as I and the others that were there encouraged the youth to serve missions. The youth here are so strong and I know that they are already doing so much missionary work by being a light here in Norway.
Some funny experiences:
* Søster Ogletree and I went to the young womens activity on Wednesday night. We didn't know what they were doing in advance and were not prepared as we came in skirts to their exercise, get fit night. We quickly discovered just how possible it is to work out in skirts. When there is a will, there is a way!
*I tried to make carmel apples and failed miserably haha!
* we had a funeral for sister ogletree after her last district meeting. We all said our "last words" to her and then went out to kebab. RIP
* We talked to a man that has hiked from the top of Norway to the bottom. It took him two years and he survived on fish.
I also had pumpkin chocolate chip cookies this week and it was magical. Fun fact: Norway hasn't quite caught the pumpkin craze yet.
It has been really hard for me trying to adjust to the idea of me leaving Drammen. I have genuinely come to love the members here and they have made me feel so at home. I said "vi ses" to everyone on Sunday because I thought that I was staying and when I found out I was leaving, it almost ripped my heart out. I love this place and I feel like it has become a part of who I am and helped me to become a better person.
I am so glad that God has a plan and that I can continue to meet people in different parts of Norway that need the gospel. Tromsø here I come!:)
