I live in a snow globe!
Hello Friends and Family!
I again have about 5 minutes before we have to leave to go do service at the Red Cross. The speed round begins!
This week was filled with miracles! Some of them were that we found Søster Stocks missing gloves, met with a young Norwegian mom in her house that knew members in Romerike, got free chocolate cake, a member that hasn't been to church in a while came, and we had some really amazing street contacts!
Among those was a couple that we stopped on the street that were super sincere and kind. We had an amazing conversation with them about divine identity (something that Søster Stocks and I have been really focused on studying lately) and the spirit was so strong. Something that rarely happens on the streets. Although they didn't want to meet I know that they felt something and I hope that they can understand a little bit more who they are and remember that experience.
We also stopped another person on the street named Pierre. He is from the Cameroon and speaks mostly french, not a whole lot of English, and has a hard time understanding our American accents. He has such a strong belief in Jesus Christ though and he met with us the next day so that we could give him the pamphlets in French. As we spoke with him, some of the french that I thought I had forgotten came back and we were able to communicate with him most of our message. I have always wondered why I studied French for so long if I got called to a Norwegian speaking mission. All I do know is that the Lord is preparing me and using me to help others and I am so grateful for that. He is going to meet with the missionaries when he goes back to Africa and he is coming to church on Sunday!
I love all so much and are so grateful for you! I hope that you had a great Thanksgiving!
Love, Søster Starkie
*here are some pictures and videos from this past week! Hopefully they will make up for this sad excuse for an email. A picture is worth a thousand words right?
