FALLING FOR TROMSø

I may or may not have stolen Søster Wheelwrights pun. She was on splits here in Tromsø for the first time and she fell on the ice pretty hard. She made the joke a couple minutes later, saying that is the only time that she has fallen in Norway and that Tromsø was just too beautiful and she couldn't help it.
This Valentine's week has been so much fun with Splits, Snickers milkshakes, Raspberry Chocolate scones, Valentine's gren fest, the announcement that we can SKYPE our families on P-day, and of course some miracles along the way.
We have met a couple of people recently that I know are being prepared to receive the gospel. Both of them were pretty similar. One was an older lady that Søster Wheelwright and I sat next to on the buss. It was a miracle in and of itself that we got on the buss because we barely missed it, waved frantically at the driver, and he let us on because "I have to serve you because it is Valentine's day". This lady really opened up and told us about all of these people that have died in her life including her son most recently. Søster Wheelwright asked her if she believes that she will be able to see her son again and she replied "I hope so". She had to get off the buss then but we were able to give her a card and offer to share our message. The second person was a man  here on vacation to reminisce about his memories of his Honeymoon of his now dead wife. She died of cancer and you could tell that the sorrow was still lingering. Søster Neal and I were able to share our testimonies about the after life and although he wasn't super interested, he listened. He wasn't too fond of talking about religion but he explained his difficulties that he had gone through in life. I think that mostly he just needed someone to talk to. He took a pass a long card and I know that Heavenly Father will continue to prepare him. These two interactions made me think about the M. Russel Ballard's latest talk about how the death of all of his loved ones opened the opportunity for him to receive his amazing vision. I believe that these people are being prepared in the same way.
Another thing this week is that we got to go to the goat farm again and see all of our friends there. Søster Neal, the Cooks, and I learned the ways of bread sorting.
Us missionaries also got permission to play Dance Dance Revolution at the ward party. Embarrassing Irish jig videos possibly coming soon:)
I hope that you all had a great Valentine's day and that you have a good week ahead of you as well. So grateful for all of you!
Love, Søster Starkie
